More than 30 years ago.
What is your favorite part of being a deacon?
Being able to share the journey of life with so many people through their highs to their lows.
What would you say to someone considering the permanent diaconate?
If God has called you, say yes and never look back. Also, be filled with joy - people are starving for true joy.
What surprised you the most about the permanent diaconate?
The amazing way that the Holy Spirit works through you to touch the hearts of believers.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).
