Position Summary:
St. Peter Catholic School in Greenville, NC is seeking a Middle School Spanish Teacher. The Middle School Spanish Teacher plays a pivotal role in providing students with a comprehensive and engaging education in Spanish language and culture. This position involves developing and delivering dynamic lesson plans that promote language acquisition, cultural understanding, and communication skills.
The Middle School Spanish Teacher utilizes diverse instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with varying proficiency levels, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing feedback, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Spanish language curriculum. The ideal candidate possesses proficiency in Spanish, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire students to become confident and competent Spanish language learners.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, teach, and interact with students in a professional way that challenges students to reach their individual potential
- Performance of professional responsibilities not limited to planning lessons, preparing instructional material, taking attendance, signing in and out daily, serving on staff committees, conferring with parents, maintaining positive relationships
- Implementation of the educational mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the school both at the Diocesan and Parish level
Minimum Requirements:
- Must hold a NC Licensure in Education or equivalent from another state
- Previous experience working with children.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
