Reverend Daniel Pal, OFM Conv., a priest of the Franciscan Friars Conventual, Our Lady of the Angels Province, is appointed Administrator of Holy Cross Parish in Durham.
Effective July 1, 2020
The Territorial Director of the Order of the Legionaries of Christ has recommended Reverend Stephen P. Ellis, L.C. be appointed Chaplain to the Regnum Christi men’s and women’s sections and time permitting, assist in priestly ministry at Saint Joseph Parish in Raleigh, with full-time residence at Saint Joseph. Bishop Zarama has accepted this recommendation.

Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama expresses his sincere appreciation to each of the following priests for their faithful and generous priestly ministry in the Diocese of Raleigh:
Reverend James M. Labosky, Parochial Vicar at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary and Diocesan Director for Continuing Education for Priests, retires from active priestly ministry, effective June 30, 2020. Father Labosky will continue to serve part-time as Diocesan Director for Continuing Education for Priests.
Reverend Bartholomew Karwacki, OFM Conv., Pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Durham, has been appointed Guardian of one of the Franciscan Friars Conventual, Our Lady of the Angels Province, friaries in Baltimore, Maryland by his Minister Provincial, effective June 2020.
Reverend Peter Murray, S.J., Parochial Vicar at Saint Raphael the Archangel Parish in Raleigh, has been appointed Associate Pastor at Saint Anthony Parish in New York, by his Provincial, effective August 1, 2020.
