Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I write to wish each of you a Blessed Easter filled with the peace and joy of our Risen Lord! Today we are united with the universal Church in celebrating the victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death. How blessed are we to know that in Christ, the power of darkness has vanished; suffering has been turned into glory; and death into life.
Just like the first disciples of the Risen Lord, we are called to go forth and to be His witnesses. We are living in a time that is contrary to Love; we must work hard and work together, striving to spread the Love of the Risen Lord to every corner of the world.
Let us work with our neighbors and our community to show that there is no power greater than the power of God's love.
Please join me in praying for all those to be baptized and confirmed in our Catholic faith this Easter and know of my continued prayers for you and your family. May the Risen Lord abundantly bless you on Easter and always with the peace only He can give.
In Christ,
Luis Rafael Zarama, J.C.L.
Bishop of Raleigh
